Preparing for Entrepreneurial Challenges – Anoop Bishnoi

Being an entrepreneur entails taking on new challenges, every day. Your problem-solving skills are tested on a day-to-day basis. From juggling multiple tasks to working for long hours, business owners and start-ups have to go through it all when they initially start their ventures. However, once you learn to overcome these obstacles, or rather learn to deal with them better; you will undoubtedly be able to enjoy the benefits.

We spoke with business owners like Anoop Bishnoi about the challenges of entrepreneurship they’ve faced in their entrepreneurial journey and the solutions that are assisting them in overcoming them. Here’s what Anoop said, “During the initial phase of your business venture, you may have to do everything on your own, however, if you want to scale and grow, you must shift from ‘how’ to ‘who’. Hire some good people and build a team to help you achieve your vision. I believe that hiring a team is one of the greatest investments for a company's future; great team members are like team multipliers, they will provide you with massive returns on investment. Another common challenge is focus and productivity. Most of us at work often feel we’re not being productive enough, how do I deal with it? Think about three tasks each day (preferably, the night before) and focus only on completing those three things. This will simplify everything in your business and allow you to focus entirely on one challenge at a time. Starting and growing a business costs money.

In some cases, a significant sum is required. One will be stuck if one doesn’t have the necessary funds, so it’s important to plan beforehand. Start raising funds when your business is doing well, that way one can negotiate for better terms and outright reinvest in their business for future success. Last but not the least, one needs to find a balance between their work and personal life, working for longer hours doesn’t promise early success but it can surely cause burnout. Remember, why you started in the first place, for the freedom to work as you like.”

Starting out as an entrepreneur is, without a doubt, a stressful endeavor. However, just because the stakes are higher does not imply that your stress levels must be higher as well. Personal development and entrepreneurship are inextricably linked for a reason, so take it slow and start with realistic goals.
