Anoop Bishnoi - Dealing with Entrepreneurial Stress

If your business plan does not include stress management, you must be unaware of what you’re getting yourself into. It appears that stress is unavoidable when embarking on an entrepreneurial venture, especially if it’s your own business. You’ll tend to have a lot on your plate, and it stands to reason that all of those responsibilities can take a toll on your mental health.

Knowing what exactly stresses you out can help you determine what you should do to relieve that stress. However, most of the time it’s a combination of factors, some of which you may be unaware of. So what are some tips to effectively manage stress and keep moving forward? We asked the well-experienced entrepreneur, Anoop Bishnoi, and here’s what he said, “First things first, never let perfectionism hold you back, your goal should be progress. Of course, one should give it their all, but it’s important to have a perspective and to determine what is important and what is not. One should focus their energy on the right things, rather than compulsively thinking over trivial things. I believe that work beats worry, it’s the action that beats anxiety! And if one needs help, one should ask for it. Also, one must learn to delegate if they want to build a successful business in the long run. There’s no need to attempt to do everything by you, so hire talent! Make to-do lists, prioritize tasks, and see what can be delegated. One should make a note of when one feels the most productive and use that time to focus on their top tasks and priorities. In addition to doing all these things, set boundaries, create your own rules, take rest for a while, and know when you’ve done enough.”

Getting rid of unnecessary mental baggage is critical for remaining focused, motivated, and productive. Managing stress will mean different things to different people, so it’s important to figure out what works for you. There are things you can do to help alleviate it, and you can always seek professional help if things become too much for you to handle on your own.
