Think Beyond and Stay Ahead
In recent times, surviving and thriving are
only possible if you and your company are working hard to stay ahead of the
curve. The harsh reality is that being an entrepreneur requires you one to
keep your one’s company and yourself at the forefront of change. As the
business world becomes more sophisticated, so, too, must new entrepreneurs.
They must stay updated about tech trends and should also focus on expanding mobile
commerce and social networking. Furthermore, an entrepreneur must recognize the
value of change and be adaptable in order to keep up with the changing times
and the ever evolving demands of their customer base.
To understand things better, we decided to
have a conversation with the well established and experienced entrepreneur and
business mentor, Anoop Singh Bishnoi, and here’s what he has to say, “ To
succeed in today's business environment, one must focus on developing smooth
and strong internal processes; effective communication between people,
functions, and departments boosts productivity and efficiency. Just a tip, when
one hires someone, one should know that they are not just hiring them for the
job, but also appointing them to take up a senior position in the future; one
should look for the same competencies that you one would expect from their
reporting managers. Besides, one must focus on enhancing their customer experience
– there should be clear communication of brand USPs to present as well as
potential customers and clients. One of the best ways to do so is to make use
of social media channels, as it not only will it keep one up-to-date and
we’ll well-informed about business environment, but also helps the
organization to timely address customer queries as well as make the most of any
positive publicity. Most importantly, learn to unlearn. Most people concentrate
on learning without realizing how critical unlearning is. The same processes
that worked a year ago may no longer work, and may even fail, therefore one
must prepare for this.”
Business success does not happen overnight. A successful business requires a great deal of planning, preparation, creativity, grit, and patience. The bottom line is the same i.e. today’s business leaders must understand their changing environment, challenge their operating teams’ assumptions and innovate relentlessly and continuously.
