Turning Obstacles into Opportunities – Anoop Singh Bishnoi
“Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.” — Martin Luther
In the current climate of high uncertainty,
this quote has a lot to offer to people who are questioning the future,
especially their business ideas and plans. As you sit down to think about your
business, think of it as a plant – the idea as a seed, growth as the roots, and
service as the bloom. Now the question is, what should encourage you to plant
that seed? Or to make the effort/take the leap of faith with your business
idea?
If you’re a business owner or someone who’s
just thinking about starting one, you can’t help but wonder about all the
possible consequences, the financial fragility, and the massive disruption and
dislocation this pandemic has caused across industries. But what about all the
opportunities that are slowly emerging during the recent recovery? Should you
not seize them?
In a recent interview with Anoop Singh Bishnoi,
the successful and well-known entrepreneur, we asked him about what he thinks
of business growth during the new normal, and here’s what he said, “…as we move
into this next phase, businesses around the world are prioritizing actions to
enhance brand value, so they could build strategic resilience for tomorrow.
Determining what customers need currently and in the foreseeable future, might
help you make a success of your new venture… plus this new phase is all about
business-to-consumer, selling anything and everything has become very
convenient because of the emerging and fast-growing global digital
infrastructure. New businesses are digital-first, requiring nothing beyond a
computer or even just a phone and a solid business idea.”
If you’re a hopeful entrepreneur, now might
be the time to figure out how to start it. Just remember if you plant a seed
today, it will ultimately sprout, grow and serve generations to come… after
all, good things take time and often last long.
